Darling Ducklings Class Children must be two years old by September 30th. Classes are offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday; 9:00-12:00. We recommend two days a week for the early learner; however, you may enroll for any number of days. Bible stories, music, story time, art, snack, physical development, free play and basic curriculum make up the day in the two year old classroom. The curriculum includes learning basic shapes and colors as well as counting and alphabet recognition. Special emphasis is placed on manners and socialization skills. As of 6/27/18, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are full. Monday has openings available.
Three Year Old Classes offer two or three day options per week; 9:00-12:00, Tues/Thurs and Tues/Wed/Thurs mornings. Children enrolling in these classes must be three years old by September 30th and potty trained. Emphasis on socialization skills and self-awareness starts the year off. The children work to solidify their knowledge of shapes, colors and numbers 1-10. Introduction to the alphabet and beginning math and language skills are presented in fun and creative ways. Four and Five Year Olds also meet 9:00-12:00, Our three day programs are offered T/Th/F. Our 4 day program for this age group runs Tuesday-Friday. Children entering this class must be four years old by September 30th Kindergarten readiness skills such as recognition and discrimination of letters and their sounds, printing, math and language skills are the focus. Children will have many opportunities to explore, observe and experiment through our diverse curriculum of art, music, geography, and hands-on science. They are building interpersonal relationships through discovery learning. For those who have not previously attended preschool before, these classes will give your child a solid foundation. Your child will be immersed in skills to prepare them for kindergarten success.
Stepping Stones class meets Monday-Thursday; 9-12:30. This program is created to instill independence and encourage maturity in the older preschool child through intellectual, social, and moral development. The curriculum is designed to provide a challenge while promoting successful results. Children learn mutual respect and independent thinking. This class is a perfect fit for those students who miss the cut off for kindergarten and wish to further strengthen their basic skills. Registration fee: $90
All Programs emphasize learning through music, art, creative play and physical development daily. Show and tell, pledge to the flag, birthday celebrations, snack time and learning centers meet the needs and interest of each student. Prayer, scripture readings and Bible stories with daily life applications and handwork are an important part of each day at preschool. Manners and respect for each other are encouraged. Classes have learn in the kitchen with fun cooking projects. Highlights of the year include a field trip to the pumpkin patch, special visitors, seasonal parties, parent/teacher conferences, end of the year program and graduation. Stepping Stones students will help prepare a brunch for their special valentine in February.
Cub Club extends your child's preschool day until 2:30. It is offered to any student who is 3 years old and potty trained. Students bring their lunch and enjoy an afternoon of science experiments, cooking projects, stories, crafts and free play. Presently Cub club meets Tuesday and Thursday. Cub Club does not meet the 1st Tues of month due to monthly staff meetings. Payment is due at the time of sign up or with your monthly tuition.
